Having a new car is cool, but it needs much money. But it doesn’t mean that without much money we cannot buy a car. With enough money in our hand, we can be able to buy an used car that can be used according to its function, as transportation. The important thing is that we have a car.

In order not to be deceit in buying used car, the following are the things you need to consider:
1. Specify your budget, including its monthly credit installment budget and maintenance budget (services and treatment).
2. If you are a young family, choose type of vehicle such as SUV and also MPV that matches with your financial ability.
3. Choose car with young year, for example 2004, 2005, or 2006.
4. To look for used car, you can go directly to car showroom or through the internet.
5. Choose the car which has stable marketing price, for example: Japanese car. So that if you want to sell it again, the market is still good and the depreciation is not too big.
6. Choose car that have economical fuel as well as cheap spare part. For example, its comparison 1:7.
7. Try to choose used car from first hand; it’s better if you recognize how the seller is using the car and how he takes care of the car.
8. Before deciding, you have to know precisely about the condition of the car machine. Don't be mesmerized with car body that really smooth if in the reality the machine is brittle. Try to choose a good machine above the car body.

Check the Machine.
To check the machine, you can try some of these following steps:
a. Try to start the car, and make sure when you start, the machine is on. Check the headlight, lamp, and also the cabin lamp, and rpm movement.
b. Step on the gas several times to make sure the machine voice doesn’t secrete inappropriate sound. Then turn on the AC to measure the cool level. At the same time, step on the gas several times to detect if there are bothering sounds.
c. Open the machine cover and check the inside if the machine sound is harsh, or the machine is dirty. That shows the treatment of the car.
d. If you don’t understand machine, it’s a good idea to invite workshop mechanic or machinist that can recommend you.

Check the Body of the Car.
After you check the machine, you also need to check the car body. To check the body, there are some tips that can help you.

a. Knock on the car body to know if the car has been on collision, dented, and or scratched. If the vehicle has been caulked, it sound rather hard and is not crunchy anymore.
b. Check the body that rust frequently, like top roof, roof-gutter, radio antenna, window side, baggage cover, door side (top-bottom-side), gasoline cover, muffler area, wheel velk, around the lamp, undercarriage of mudguard, rain wiper, under car carpet, baggage, rearview mirror, and other car variation of which might not be the same for each type of car.

Check the Document of the car
Check all the document, certificate of ownership of motor vehicle, motor vehicle license and also its invoice. If necessary, ask for the service book, so that you know the car’s history. Check its document with its car, see if there is any difference, for example the machine number and colour. If they are different, you’d better cancel the transaction.
And make sure before you decide to buy, it’s a good idea to ask permission to test drive. By riding the car directly, you can feel and try all the facilities available in the car. For example: AC, wiper, or if the rpm and the lamp is functioning well.
